Last week the movie 'P.S. I love you' finally came to the Cinema. I've been planning to see it for months now or, more specifically, the moment i found out that Gerard Butler will be playing the main male role.
After overcoming a problem of who I will go with, since it was Valentine's Day (and my best fried Iva shared my obsession with the movie after seeing Butler playing the Phantom), the drooling could begin.
Regardless of how I stared at Butler with my tongue on the floor and vacant expression on my face, I still noticed that the movie was quite different than the book. I can't say that I'm sorry because the book is too sad on some parts and the movie is supposed to be entertaining.
But there is one thing I can't forget and would like to change it; Harry Connick Junior as Daniel!!!! Oh, come on people!
Seriously...
The critics, as usual, were utterly ignorant that, in the end, it was a love story of a man who tries to make his beloved wife happy and ready to move on, once he was gone. Instead they saw it as a movie more adecquate for the All Spirits day. Besides, it wasn't that sad! Ok, sometimes, but most of the times it wasnt unbearable.
But that's just me, I guess. It's not my fault that God created someone as sinfully handsome as Gerard Butler!
Hear you later!
